BCBST’s member website is an integrated solution that allows participants to assess, discover, and track their health—on their time and on their terms. All eligible members are invited to actively engage and participate, regardless of their health risk level. The portal serves up a full range of interactive health management tools and is a highly intuitive instrument, built with human factors in mind, allowing the member to effortlessly set, track and achieve goals and positive health outcomes.

Health Assessment (must log in to BlueAccess to complete)

The Personal health assessment (HA) is available through BCBST’s member website, BlueAccess. The PHA obtains key information to identify appropriate self-directed and dedicated coaching programs and collects a solid baseline of each participant’s health status for outcomes reporting. Participants are able to complete the assessment at their own pace by saving each section after it’s completed. The PHA is featured on the portal’s participant dashboard so navigation to and from the assessment is convenient.

Self-directed Programs

Self-directed programs are featured on the dashboard. These programs are self-paced and available to anyone who can access the portal. Courses consist of 12 sequential lessons that participants can complete at their own pace. Topics include: tobacco cessation, weight management, nutrition, stress management and physical activity. Structured lesson plans within each topic area are presented to the participant and include: weekly activities, educational articles, video content, tracking tools, access to a personal health record and individual action plans to help build a foundation for better health.

Comprehensive Lifestyle Health Coaching

Helping individuals to target their specific health risks, conditions and lifestyle habits, our dedicated lifestyle health coaches serve as health advocates for each member in developing highly personalized plans for improving health. This program helps individuals target their specific health risks, conditions and lifestyle habits, so they can take better control of their lifestyle choices. We begin by segmenting your population by risk levels captured in the health assessment to allow health coaches to connect to the “right” participant at the “right” time. This approach produces a meaningful engagement field, sustained engagement/compliance and higher participation satisfaction. We offer personalized outreach for moderate and high risk members focusing on tobacco cessation, nutrition, weight management, physical activity, blood pressure, cholesterol and stress management. This program also offers unlimited inbound participation. This one-on-one coaching is provided through telephonic or email methods.
